This is the southern
end of a twenty-four kilometer long beach south of Zihuatanejo.
You will see it when you fly in. This beach so far has only one
hotel, Hotel Barra de Potosi. It is a short distance to the tiny
fishing village of the Barra de Potosi with its coconut huertas,
rustic seaside fish restaurants offering shade under ramadas and
hammocks besides the tables so you can nap after that big shrimp
and snapper lunch. Other residents along the beach are working
the land, growing coconuts or cattle.
The only hotel
on a 24km "virgin" beach directly south of Zihuatanejo,
Mexico

There is always
a breeze. The hotel has two pools, and palapas by the beach. It
has a small restaurant and bar.
There are four
floors, the suites have simple kitchens, living rooms facing sliding
glass doors and balconies overlooking the ocean.
This is the
view from the third floor looking east through the driveway to
the coconut plantations. This photograph was taken in May, when
the foilage is most dry. The sky is not brilliantly blue at this
time of year as the rainy season is almost upon us.

There is a surcharge,
the suites are $120...have to check each time!
This is place to go
to get away from it ALL, but you can get to Zihuatanejo in 30
minutes by taxi. Hourly microbuses into town
if you don't want to rent a car. We just wait for somebody in a PICKup to take us in
Deposit and refund Policy:
40% non refundable deposit required to hold reservation. Balance
due 60 days
before arrival. If not paid by then, reservation subject to cancellation.
Monies
refundable only if property is re-rented, minus 10%.
